Lake O'Hara is a stunning alpine lake located in the heart of Banff National Park in Canada. It is only accessible by a shuttle bus that runs from mid-June to early October. The shuttle is operated by Parks Canada and tickets must be purchased in advance on their website. The shuttle is limited to a certain number of people per day, so it is recommended to book early to avoid disappointment.

The shuttle departs from the Lake O'Hara parking lot at 8:30am, 10:00am, and 12:00pm and returns at 3:30pm, 5:00pm, and 7:00pm. The round-trip shuttle ticket costs $10 for adults and $5 for children.

In addition to the lake itself, there are many hiking trails in the area, including the Alpine Circuit, which is a strenuous 11.6 km loop that offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. There are also shorter hikes, such as the 2.8 km Lake O'Hara shoreline trail, which offers views of the lake from different angles.

If you are interested in staying overnight in the area, there are several lodges and campgrounds available. The Lake O'Hara Lodge offers luxury accommodations and gourmet meals, while the Elizabeth Parker Hut offers more rustic accommodations for those on a budget.

To plan your visit to Lake O'Hara, check out the Parks Canada website for more information and to purchase shuttle tickets.
